Cyanogen Google refused to sell
What many startups seeking is to grow enough to attract the attention of large companies and sold for as much money as possible. This does not apply to Cyanogen, who had refused to accept a million dollar purchase by Google. As reported in The Information , CEO Cyanogen, Kirt McMaster, told shareholders that the senior vice president of Google, Sundar Pichai, had offered to buy the company, but did not accept.
Rather than immediately to the founders money, look what Cyanogen is to become thethird mobile OS most used while maintaining an "Android open ". To achieve this would be looking to raise funds from investors, but not sold, which is something else entirely.Indeed, if things go as planned being, expect to get a valuation of $ 1,000 million during the third round of funding.
As part of the growth process Cyanogen have reached an agreement with Micromax phones to make a custom operating system, in a similar manner as is done with One OnePlus way.
We do not know whether the goals of achieving a billion dollar valuation and become the third mobile operating system are too ambitious, but recognize that by refusing to accept the easy money of Google executives have demonstrated their commitment to achieving them.
