If only we could combine our suitcases with some R2-D2 technology. I mean, if that robot is going to pal around with Luke, the least he can do is carry his stuff. Well, the Hop! suitcase is a ‘smart’ suitcase that follows the owner around.
This suitcase will come with 3 receivers that can receive, identify and triangulate the different signals from a user’s mobile phone. A microcontroller will then interpret the signals by calculating the phone’s current position relative to the suitcase. It will then follow the user at a constant distance. If your signal is lost, you will be alerted via your phone and the suitcase will lock itself, keeping your stuff safe.
I’m sure it will cost quite a bit, but how cool is it to have your suitcase carry itself? It’s worth it.
