The Galaxy Note 4 by Samsung Electronics Co. (KRX:005930) may now be official but details about when the device will hit markets remain uncertain. Samsung says the Galaxy Note 4 will be available starting in October, yet a new report indicates a specific launch date for the device.
Dutch tech website Galaxy Club says the Galaxy Note 4 will be available at mobile networks in the Netherlands on Oct. 10. Typically Samsung designates a single initial launch date for its new devices to become available in most major markets. If accurate, Oct. 10 could be the launch date for the Galaxy Note 4 in the U.S. as well as Europe, Asia and other major markets. Samsung did not indicate any additional launch periods for major markets during its unveiling event for the Galaxy Note 4 on Wednesday. Notably, the Galaxy Note 3 launched in the U.S. a few weeks after its initial launch in late September 2013, which Samsung specified at the device’s announcement.
